This awareness has brought a revolution among eco-friendly ventures. The number of customers loving the eco-friendly products has increased and so have the businesses,” told a Mansukhbhai Prajapati who reached lakhs of kitchens through his mitticool venture.

Mansukhbhai Prajapati is a potter and had seen his father and others preparing clay utensils by hand but not getting proper financial outcomes. As a result of which, the pottery art became almost extinct and even Mansukhji were also refrained from the same. But his ideas and his love for the art of pottery played a key role in motivating him to revive the lost art of pottery and bring forth in a latest modern way using modern techniques.

“The products are made of clay. Clay is something which is considered as one of the integral parts of the body. So the unique feature is clay. The other feature is the efforts in making these products qualitative. The modern design and features of the products which have been structured or designed as such that it can be eye-catching. The main motto of putting heart into these efforts is to make people lead a healthy lifestyle; and seeing people to use traditional clay utensils with modern techniques.”

With the evolution in pottery art, mitti cool is observing several challenges in their green journey, since the overhead costs in the production went up, it has affected the cost of the final output. Though there are a number of benefits of clay products, still people use aluminium and steel because of the fear of mishandling the clay products. And as these products need self maintenance and self care, the modern lifestyles are placing many people away from clay products.

He learned from his failures and is a successful entrepreneur now. After breaking 1 lakh tawas, he gained success in developing a machine that can automate its production. After 4 long years of struggle, perseverance and debt, he is successful in developing the Mitticool Fridge. His dedication towards the pottery art is really appreciable while he is successful in reviving the long lost art of pottery.

“As the clay products are made from Soil and it requires soil Extraction from various habitable locations. But the Extraction is carried out as such that it doesn’t harm the local atmosphere or the ecosystem. In addition, these products on disposal get decomposed easily into the available soil and hence return back to earth what was taken. Hence the complete cycle is environmentally friendly. Our efforts to build a non-electric house which will cool naturally without any electricity in an attractive form is one of the nearby future goals” told when we asked about sustainability.

The journey of mitti cool is a step towards connecting people with nature while making one clay pottery at a time.
